Project Administrator

The Project Administrator is responsible for the overall project control from booking of equipment orders, handling customer inquiries, processing revisions to sales orders, reviewing and accepting purchase orders and scheduling with design and manufacturing, including the coordination of purchased peripheral equipment.

Qualifications:

The Project Administrator will possess the following qualifications: proven strategic planning skills, business acumen and sales aptitude, ability to work independently, highly proactive work style, ability to partner across all levels and functional areas of the organization to ensure customer needs are met, excellent communication skills (both oral and written), proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and customer management databases. The ability to meet strict deadlines are required attributes.

Experience:

The Project Administrator must have previous experience in customer service that includes significant customer interaction. A minimum of 5 years customer service and/or technical sales experience, preferably in the power protection field. Experience with A&E firms preferred.

Education:

Bachelors degree in Business from a recognized, fully accredited program is preferred or equivalent experience.

Senior Buyer

Performs all functions related to planning, purchasing, negotiating and expediting assigned commodity items. Works closely with manufacturing, engineering and sales departments on assigned projects.

Experience:

Must have a minimum of 5-7 years of Procurement experience in a relevant supply chain purchasing, materials, manufacturing) environment required or comparable work related experience.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Inventory Management, Logistics or Operations Management.

Responsibilities:

Stays in close communication with the Logistics/Procurement Manager, suppliers, plant management, engineering, and other associates as required. Have good written and oral communication skills. Takes directions well and follows through on projects and objectives in a thorough, complete, and timely manner.

Develop sourcing strategies and lead supplier selection process

Actively pursue methods that will reduce the lead-time for "critical path" materials with no extra risk or expense to Ametek. This person also has the responsibility to keep the E&O (excess & obsolete) inventory low and under control.

Analyze purchased components requirements

Prepare RFQ's, negotiate with suppliers, and initiate purchase orders

Review open orders and initiate action as relative to changes in demand and inventory position.

Monitor suppliers performance against company quality and delivery goals

Develop and manage long term agreements with suppliers that are providing a strategic advantage

Lead activities required in make vs buy decision for new or current production components

Identify and develop opportunities for cost reduction utilizing alternative sourcing (including international sourcing), negotiation, supplier consolidation, etc. to maintain and achieve company-wide goals and metrics.

Monitor market and supplier trends for opportunities and risk

Provide support to resolve supply issues including expedited deliveries, payables and rejected material matters.

Interface internally with Sales, Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing Teams as required.

Senior Development Engineer

Qualifications:

The Senior Development Engineer is an energetic, experienced professional who will work with members of the design and project teams to create power supply systems and components for SCI products.

Experience:

The Senior Development Engineer must have a technology centric background that includes significant customer interaction. A minimum of 5 - 7 years experience as high power electronics (>10kVA) is required. The candidate must possess experience with power electronics, analog and digital circuits, and an understanding of UPS's, strong system knowledge to develop new product and systems, high intellect, inquisitive personality, leadership potential, and desire to introduce new concepts and methods to the business are essential. The candidate must also possess strong project management, communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills and ability to work closely with other team members to meet objectives and deadlines and have familiarity of safety, UL, and IEC standards and CE.

Education:

B.S.E.E., B.S.M.E. or B.S.B.A from a recognized, fully accredited program is required, an MSEE a plus.

Specific Responsibilities:

Interact with members of design and project team to design electrical components and systems for AMETEK products.
Support product lines from initial concept through production.
Design and develop electronic circuits and software for designs using microprocessors, FPGA's and analog circuits.
Prepare or direct construction and testing of prototypes or components to evaluate design concepts.
Create design specifications and test procedures for both hardware and software.
Contribute to technical manuals and other engineering software.
Prepare sufficient documentation to implement product designs into manufacturing within the time budget constraints of the project, including the development of assemblies, test procedures, Bills of Material and drawings.
Collaborate with other team members, share information and resources, coordinate communication, and lead cross-functional teams, as needed, to ensure overall excellent problem resolution.
Assist other internal departments (Test, Service, Sales) to ensure products conform to customer requirements.
